Boys’ Expedition Camps are designed for groups of 4–6 middle and high school boys, interested in immersing into the open landscapes of Wyoming while developing fly-fishing, camping, and hiking skills. Building leadership skills, confidence, independence, and lasting friendships are emphasized throughout the camp experience. Please fill out a Youth Camp Application to begin the enrollment process.
Each camp is 7 or 10 nights and based at A Bar A Ranch along a tributary of the North Platte River called Mullen Creek. This location allows for instant access to trout streams and numerous backcountry trails. Camp leaders introduce fly fishing techniques, small caliber riflery/clay shooting and firearm safety, navigation skills for backcountry travel, and the basics of camping and living in the outdoors. Additionally, each camp spends a day with experienced wranglers at A Bar A Ranch learning about western horsemanship and trail-riding.
A team of two Expeditions Guides work together to lead each Youth Camp to ensure safety, guidance, and support, in a fun outdoor learning environment.
