These images, captured by Will and Deni McIntyre, help convey a sense of life at the A Bar A during the off-season. Deep snow, cold wind, bright sunshine, and plentiful wildlife sightings characterize winter in the North Platte Valley.

The Head Wrangler and Head of Maintenance and their families live at the ranch year round, and the winter months are busy with caring for the horses, maintaining the road and buildings, and numerous projects. It’s always fun for returning guests to see the changes and improvements that are made at the ranch between summer seasons.
